Frequently asked questions
How is a flow different from a guide?
A guide explains a subject area. A flow is the action sequence — step 1 use this calculator, step 2 use that one. Use guides to learn; use flows to do.
Do I have to do every step?
No. Each flow is a recommended sequence; jump to the step that matches your current decision. The flow shows the dependencies so you can backfill if you skipped ahead.
How long does a typical flow take?
10–20 minutes of active calculation time, spread across however many sittings make sense for the decision — some flows you'll finish in one session, others over weeks.
Can I share my flow progress with someone?
Yes. Every calculator inside a flow encodes its state into a shareable URL hash, so you can send a partner or advisor the exact scenario you ran at each step.
