Race pace, training zones, strength benchmarks, hiking time, and sport-specific stats. The numbers behind every PR — pacing splits, heart-rate zones, 1RM, elevation-adjusted pace, batting averages, and chess Elo.

Use this hub when:
  • You're training for a race and need pacing, splits, or a finish-time prediction.
  • You're tracking strength benchmarks (1RM, Wilks, FFMI) and want comparable scores.
  • You're playing a sport with its own math (baseball, chess, betting) and want a quick-reference tool.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the race-time predictor?

The Riegel formula is within 1–3% for runners with consistent training between two race distances. Less accurate for huge distance jumps (5K → marathon) or wildly inconsistent training. The calculator flags low-confidence predictions and explains why.

Which 1RM formula is most accurate?

Epley is the default — it tends to slightly under-predict, which is safer for programming. Brzycki is more accurate at lower reps (1–5); Lombardi for higher reps (8+). Each weightlifting calculator lets you switch and shows the differences.

Are these training calculators replacements for a coach?

No. They're for planning the workout you already know how to do safely. Heart-rate zones, pacing, and 1RM math are inputs to a program — they don't replace movement coaching, periodization, or injury triage.

Why include betting calculators?

Because the math (implied probability from odds, parlay payout, expected value of a wager) is a useful application of probability — the same math the statistics hub covers in the abstract. Use responsibly; the calculators are for understanding the odds, not encouraging the bet.
