Terms of use.
Calculover is free to use for personal and professional work. These terms cover what you can do with the Site, what our results are (estimates), and what they are not (professional advice).
Effective July 15, 202601Acceptance of terms
By accessing and using Calculover ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Site. These terms apply to all visitors and users.
02Description of service
Calculover provides 1610 free calculators, all browser-based, organized across 15 categories — Finance, Construction, Health & Fitness, Business, Daily Life, Math, Conversions, Food & Cooking, Automotive, Science, Legal, Education, Environment, Sports, and Tools — plus supporting guides, comparisons, and reference data. All calculations are performed locally in your web browser using JavaScript; no data is sent to our servers for processing.
03Free use license
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site and its calculators for personal, educational, and professional purposes. This license does not include:
- Reproducing, copying, or redistributing the Site's source code, design, or content for commercial purposes
- Using automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Site in a manner that exceeds reasonable human usage
- Framing or embedding the Site or its calculators in another website, except through the embed codes we provide on the Site for that purpose
- Modifying, adapting, or creating derivative works based on the Site
04Disclaimer of accuracy
This is one of the most important sections of these terms:
- Financial and tax calculators (mortgage, loan, tax, investment, retirement) use simplified models. Actual outcomes depend on lender terms, tax law, market conditions, and your personal situation. Consult a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or tax professional before acting on real money.
- Health calculators (BMI, TDEE, calories, macros, clinical scores) use generalized formulas that cannot account for individual medical conditions. They are not diagnostic tools. Consult a healthcare professional for medical decisions.
- Construction calculators (concrete, framing, electrical) provide material estimates. Always verify with qualified engineers, contractors, or electricians against applicable building codes before building.
- Legal-adjacent calculators (alimony, child support, insurance) reflect general rules that vary by jurisdiction and change over time. Consult a licensed attorney for legal matters.
- All other calculators carry the same disclaimer: results are estimates and should be independently verified whenever accuracy is critical.
05No professional advice
Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, engineering, or other professional advice, and no professional-client relationship is created by your use of the Site. The Site is a utility, not a replacement for professional consultation. We assume no liability for actions taken based on calculator results.
06Intellectual property
All content on the Site — text, graphics, logos, icons, images, code, and calculator designs — is the property of Calculover or its content creators and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property laws.
You may link to any page on Calculover. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.
07User conduct
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, its servers, or connected systems
- Use the Site to transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation or infrastructure
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
08Availability and modifications
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, update, or discontinue any calculator or feature at any time without notice
- Temporarily or permanently suspend access to the Site for maintenance or updates
- Change these Terms of Use — material changes are posted here with a new effective date, and continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance
We aim to keep the Site available around the clock, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
09Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- In no event shall Calculover, its owners, operators, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid to use it — which is zero, because the Site is free.
10Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Calculover, its owners, operators, and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
11Third-party content
The Site links to third-party websites and resources, and some pages include partner recommendations described in our Affiliate Disclosure. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.
12Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the courts of appropriate jurisdiction.
13Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
