Methodology
Mental Health Resource converts user-entered sleep, caffeine, schedule, or stress inputs into an educational estimate using the page documented assumptions. It distinguishes habit planning from diagnosis of sleep, anxiety, mood, or substance-use conditions.
Assumptions
- Self-reported bedtime, wake time, caffeine timing, stress level, and routine inputs are approximate.
- Sleep-duration estimates assume the user is tracking hours honestly and that sleep quality is not separately measured unless entered.
- The output is intended to support habit reflection, not to identify a medical or mental-health condition.
Limitations
- Sleep, stress, and caffeine effects differ with age, pregnancy, mental health, shift work, medications, chronic disease, alcohol, and substance use.
- The calculator cannot diagnose insomnia, sleep apnea, anxiety, depression, burnout, or caffeine sensitivity.
- Seek professional support for persistent sleep problems, severe stress, panic, substance-use concerns, or thoughts of self-harm.
